Relationship between lipid peroxidation and antioxidants in rats with experimental acute generalized peritonitis against the background of streptozotocin-induced diabetes

Introduction. There are evidence that oxidative stress is involved in the pathogenesis of acute generalized peritonitis and diabetes mellitus.The aim study was to examine levels products lipid peroxidation antioxidants rats with experimental against background streptozotocin-induced diabetes.Material methods. The experiment performed on 66 adult white male weighing 220-300 g. Diabetes mellitus animals simulated by a single intraperitoneal injection streptozotocin (Sigma) at dose 60 mg/kg. Acute induced 10% faecal suspension 0.5 ml per 100 g animal weight abdominal cavity laboratory puncture method. thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS), hydroperoxides (LOOHs), superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity, catalase (CAT) ceruloplasmin (CP) were estimated compared.Results. We observed statistically significant inverse correlations between level SOD subgroup 1 (r = -0.88; p <0.05) 3 -0.74; <0.05). also found correlation CAT -0.86; CP blood -0.87; <0.05).Conclusion.
